Question: So why in the world would you even consider quitting your job?
My Answer: Because this is the best time to start working on liberating yourself from the confines of a traditional job.
Let's face it, no one is safe from that pink slip, and I mean no one. Let this be one of your many motivators. I'm not saying that you should stop going to work completely. That's just foolish. But you need to have a plan of action.
First, decide that this is indeed what you want. What you really want. This seems simplistic and obvious but very important. Once you have that ingrained and programmed in your head, then you are essentially committing yourself to seeing it through from beginning to end. You either do something to the best of your abilities or just forget about it. Have the mindset to succeed.
You need to reflect on what changes you need to make to get you closer to being your own boss. Learn to save better. Don't buy crap you don't need. Instead of wasting money on a new gadget, invest in your business idea.
Be realistic in investing on your ideas. Don't blow your entire paycheck on the latest laptop or 50 domain names if your budget doesn't allow for it. Put a cap on your initial investment and save for it. Don't go broke trying to chase your dreams.
There are a lot of money making opportunities available out there if you know where and what to look for. My preferred and recommended method is making money online. I have been doing it a for close to a year now and I'm slowly building it into something that is almost automated. Just like anything genuine and real, it does take work. Sorry to burst your bubble but it's the truth. This is not a get rich quick scheme. Even products that claim to make it easier will have a certain amount of work involved.
At the beginning I spent a lot of time doing research and testing. As a matter of fact I spent a lot of free time learning and soaking up as much as I can. I've kept and still continue to keep a business journal. There's a lot to learn to start off with but if you're really passionate about something it becomes a great motivator. Immerse yourself with things that get you all fired up.
Create the time in a daily basis to do something proactive that gets you closer to your goals. I don't care how busy you are and how many obligations you have, if you really want to do something you will make the time to do it. Maybe that means missing your favorite TV show in order to fit in a couple of hours of quiet and productive work time. No excuses folks, you just gotta do it. It helps to have a daily task list for what you really want to get accomplished while you're online. And try to time yourself.
Remember: Indecisiveness is a complete time-suck.
